ZigZag Global’s innovative returns solution is recognised twice at the UK eCommerce Awards 2022
ZigZag Global, the returns management solution, picked up its fourth and fifth awards of the year at the UK eCommerce Awards 2022. The successful evening saw ZigZag’s Co-Founder and CEO handed two awards on stage for eCommerce Software or Extension of the Year and Payments Solutions Technology.
The historic win follows awards for Customer Experience at DELIVER 2022 and another two from the European eCommerce Awards back in September. The esteemed judging panel of industry experts were impressed with the level of innovation the ZigZag team achieved this year, with the rollout of the Refund to Gift Card feature a particular highlight.
ZigZag’s Retail Returns Study showed that 58% of customers want the option to get their refund straight to a digital gift card. As we approach the gift-giving peak season, customers can purchase items for friends or family without having to deal with a complicated refund process if they purchased the wrong item or size. They can simply forward on the details from the digital gift card email they received, improving the customer experience with faster refunds and fostering customer loyalty. For retailers, the solution ensures that even when a customer makes a return the sale is not lost and that cash stays in the business.

The ZigZag team accepted the trophies on stage at The Montcalm London in front of a packed audience of leading brands from around the world, including representatives from Kurt Geiger, Borther2Brother, Master of Malt, Bundlee, Canon, Moonpig, The Bottle Club, Coca Cola, Dermalogica, and more.

The game-changing Refund to Gift Card functionality was once again the talk of the town at the ceremony, as it was solely responsible for taking home the Payments Solutions Technology Award. However, the eCommerce Software or Extension of the Year relied on widespread innovation across the ZigZag platform and the requirement to really solve a problem in the eCommerce market. It has been a tough year for retailers as they battle high return rates, rising logistics and manufacturing costs, and strapped-for-cash consumers. It is therefore important, now more than ever, that brands have a returns solution that cuts costs, smoothly manages an extensive logistics network, and improves customer satisfaction. ZigZag’s award success proves it does just that.
Around 100 vendors and retailers made the highly coveted UK eCommerce Awards shortlist earlier in the year, so the double win on 17th November was the perfect way to end the 2022 awards season. We very much hope to be back on-stage next year.
